We respect the privacy of the people and organisations we work with and take the handling of personal information seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we may collect, why we collect it, how we may use and disclose it, and how you can contact us about your information.

  • submit an enquiry through our website
  • speak with us about a role or recruitment search
  • provide a CV, resume or professional information

We may use personal information to:

  • contact people about potentially relevant opportunities
  • represent candidates in recruitment processes where appropriate
  • manage recruitment searches and candidate processes

  • operate and improve the CherryPeople website and services
  • meet legitimate business, administrative and legal requirements

We do not guarantee that providing information to CherryPeople will result in contact, representation or a recruitment opportunity.

4. Sharing information

Where appropriate, we may share relevant personal information with organisations involved in a recruitment process.

For example, candidate information may be shared with a hiring organisation when we are representing that candidate for an opportunity.

We will not intentionally present a candidate to a prospective employer as an active candidate for a role without appropriate engagement with that candidate.

We may also use service providers and technology platforms that help us operate CherryPeople, including services used for recruitment, communication, business administration, website hosting and related business functions.

Information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law.

5. International activity

CherryPeople works across JAPAC and North America.

As a result, recruitment processes may involve clients, candidates, technology providers or other parties located outside Australia.

Where relevant to a recruitment process or the operation of our business, personal information may therefore be accessed, processed or disclosed internationally.

6. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Accessing or correcting your information

We may need to verify your identity before actioning certain requests.
